Somali political commentators are ignorant of ITAR and the end user restrictions 🇹🇷 has agreed to. It can’t transfer F-16s to a 3rd party without 🇺🇸 consent first. The fact that the latter hasn’t objected to their deployment in 🇸🇴 does keep the doors open for a future transfer.
Türkiye has definitely found massive oil in Somalia. No one gives 3 fighter jets ($100M+) + 3 attack helicopters for free. Not even Syria, their closest ally got that. Expect the largest oil discovery in history to be announced soon.
