Before you spend money on marketing for your business, do the free stuff well. In digital marketing, the lowest of the low-hanging fruit is to register with Google MyBusiness. Helps with search, maps, ads, website analytics and it's free.

Digital tactics deliver results in different ways, as this SEMrush graphic shows. Pay-Per-Click is fast-acting. Social media occupies the middle in terms of time/value. Content-based marketing takes time to gain traction, but once it does, its value grows nicely. Use all three.
