The traditional schooling system prepares people for a world that no longer exists. The Industrial Age. The digital age rewards being a disruptor, something non-compliant.

What we now have is a declining industrial age and a rising digital age. So the digital age has new rules of the economy. It's decentralized, it doesn't require the same sort of adherence and permission. Industrial age rewarded compliance of being a good worker. The digital age.

There's a huge underserved market of experienced entrepreneurs who are excluded from the "young" CEO groups but bring incredible value to peer discussions.

I welcome experienced professionals who pivoted to entrepreneurship at any age. I was a Vistage member for 3 years as President of an American commercial bakery. I have been where you are also as a founder and owner.

As I wrote in my article “Being Human in the Age of AI” LLMs are already helping humans at every level of Maslow’s hierarchy of needs. Here are the uniquely human spaces in product development I see right now:.Cultural Translation & Context - Understanding the unspoken cultural.

AI is already very good at skills & qualities that some claim only we humans possess e.g. if you really look, today’s tools like ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, etc. already have more empathy than the *median* VP/Director-level leader at a FAAMNG company.

I’ve been writing about this in my Substack newsletter - AI will paradoxically make us more human by forcing us to focus on what only humans can do. The “seemingly complex but mundane” work getting automated means we’ll need to double down on uniquely human capabilities: deep.

Long-term, AI will be all powerful. Over the medium-term, as AI takes over most of the seemingly complex but mundane work we do, product people will need better-than-AI insights to thrive.

--Asset ownership is the foundation—you must own assets to build wealth. --Equity is the portion of the asset that truly belongs to you, not to creditors. --Both are essential: Merely controlling assets with high debt (low equity) is risky; having equity in appreciating.
