What a fantastic turnout @KeswickFire On-call appreciation night. To all the families and employers thank you so much for supporting @CumbriaFire On-call firefighters. 100% availability in January, not dropping below 98.5% in the last 12 months, absolutely amazing 👏@IanJSeel

Unfortunately this was the result of two disposable BBQs on the fell side. With the hot weather and the large number of visitors we are expecting over the coming weeks, we respectfully ask everyone to be aware of the potential dangers and act responsibly 🙏♨️🏕

Looking to have dinner by the lake or river tonight? Leave the BBQ at home and take a picnic instead to reduce the risk of a wildfire. #KeepCumbriaSafe

Wildfires are more common during warm weather. Help us stop wildfires in their tracks! Dispose of cigarette ends responsibly, don’t light fires in rural areas and call 999 if you do see a wildfire.
