Why do African-AMERICANS demand to be represented in Scandinavian culture and folklore etc, when actual Africans don't give a crap?
Representation seems to always be an American issue, not a rest of the world issue.
Race isn't the issue. American self-absorbtion is.
So George Lucas says it flat out, that the events of the Tartakovsky Clone wars series leads right up into Revenge of the Sith.
Proof that Filoni didn't just screw everything up, he also lied his ass off for years.
@OrwellNGoode
Except Tolkien based quite a bit on folktales, Beowulf, and The Ring of the Nibelungs.
This does not mean he ripped them off, mind you. History and Mythology are all public domain. All of us own it.
We are proud to welcome Moses Ingram to the Star Wars family and excited for Reva’s story to unfold. If anyone intends to make her feel in any way unwelcome, we have only one thing to say: we resist.
Remember when the Dungeons and Dragons movie had a non-white elf? Nobody complained. Why? Because it was absolutely in tune with the lore of dnd. Weird, huh?
In 1987 we got
Predator
Robocop
The Princess Bride
The Lost Boys
Wall Street
Lethal Weapon
The Untouchables
Spaceballs
Full Metal Jacket
Dirty Dancing
Hellraiser
Good Moring Vietman
The Running Man
Compare that to movies from 2017, and you will see how bankrupt Hollywood is now.
The cast of the two Conan movies from the early 80s. They check almost all the boxes in terms of diversity. No sexist racists complained about it either? How very weird. Fantasy fans supposedly hate diversity, right?

So strong and independant, that you have to use the books written by a man to achieve success? Not ver independent, is it? Not that you are following the books much, like you claimed you would, anyway.
Except it was in the book, which was released in the 50s, and fans have loved that scene since then.
This scene was not added to pander to anyone. It was always there.
You do know that movie is based on a book, right?
"She did not blench: the maiden of Rohirrium, child of kings, slender but as a steel blade, fair but terrible. a swift strike she dealt, skilled and deadly". Eowyn killed the Witch king of Angmar. Strong women warriors are part of "canon"
Since Tolkien is about to be pissed on by
@PrimeVideo
in about a month. I encourage absolutely everyone not to support it, but also to buy a Tolkien product from a non Amazon store, and post a pic of it right here in this thread.
So George Lucas refers to the comics and novels as a Treasure Trove, and believes they will make great movies.
Odd thing for him to say if he supposedly didn't care about the EU.
Disney simps, of course, didn't know about this. Because clueless.
The Witcher: Blood Origin EP Lauren S. Hissrich reveals the prequel series brings a major change to the lore around Ciri's bloodline: Éile 'the Lark' is now Ciri's earliest known ancestor.
Nope. Jackson adapted the books. The Ring of Power apes didn't adapt anything. They wrote their own stuff and used some names Tolkien created. See the difference?
Had the pleasure of joining a theater full of Tolkien fans in watching the first 2 episodes of

. Can’t wait to say more, but there were more things for deep lore fans than I expected, and I walked away excited for what’s to come. 1/2
Here is the real Kenobi story. The one that Lucas signed off on. The one that stuck to canon and lore. Buy it on ebay or at a thrift-store.
You're welcome.
Ohh look. The same thing

said. I guess The Auschwitz Memorial needs to get the White Supremacy label and get cancelled too now. Would't you agree,
@Disney
? We don't want double-standards and hypocricy, after all.
Knowing this scene exists and imagining the "fan" outcry that would happened if it released today is a nice wake up call on how the online discourse changed in the last 20 years.
@AdamCrigler
I wasn't against it, really, but I thought it seemed extremely rushed. Something felt a bit off, so I decided to wait and see for awhile. Looks like it paid off.
Evil has already killed Star Trek, Star Wars, 007, Dr Who, DC and Marvel comics, DnD, and many others. Tolkien is next on the table. Support it and...well. Tolkien just explained exactly what you are.
Have you ever considered that black women hold a disproportional amount of power in the Nilfgardian empire?

Ever since Hollywood went full Woke, I have completely lost interest in new movies and shows. You know what? I am loving it. I have been discovering and re-discovering older movies and shows. Having a blast. If Hollywood wants to destroy itself. Let them.
Disney Star Wars Fact: Finn couldn't pilot ships in ep 7. Plot-point. Which is why he saved Poe. After having spent a few hours in a coma, between ep 7 and 8, he learned to pilot ship. He is the first, and only, SW character to learn a complicated skill why unconcious.

It has irked me for 20 years that this guy didn't even get nominated for best actor for his performance in Return of the King. The guy owned every scene he was in.
Remember when Filoni ripped off video games when he "created" Kanan and Hera? He even used the same voice actress that voiced Jan Ors for Hera.
His short-bus fans didn't notice, though. They had never heard of Kyle Katarn and Jan Ors before.
