Do we need to rethink our vision for SEND? Take a step back and appreciate the challenge our learners face. Instead of longer hours, summer school, extra tuition is it time to think about what we will do that is different? Not more of the same but different! #SEND

With inclusion firmly in the spotlight this is a great book to get insights from a range of settings. The thing that stands out for me is the importance of understanding your context and taking action from there. No silver bullets, focused effort on a few key areas. #inclusion

Breakfast out this morning, quite a feast! Loving the weather and food amongst other things out here in Catalonia ❤️ Glad I went for a run beforehand!

Morning run done out in Spain. Beautiful scenery which was good because I ended up running 10 miles due to a slight location issue! #running

Are there any secondary schools out there using zones of regulation or something similar. Would really be interested in how it has been introduced and embedded in a secondary setting. #Inclusion

Lovely running through the countryside this morning but with humidity over 90% it was an energy sapping run. Great to get out, chat and have a well earned coffee at the end. #Running

Fantastic family break in Belgium, lots of walking, sightseeing and some great food. Taken a back a little by the price of water in bars and restaurants here, 6 euros for a half litre bottle, same price as beer! #itsjustwater

Managed 7 miles in some pretty miserable weather. Running into a headwind for 3.6 miles then appreciated the tailwind on the way back. Some pretty strange displays on the beach. #Running

Half term break with my children in Belgium. Took the train to visit Bruges (Brugge) some lovely buildings and of course plenty of chocolate to try!! Weather was mixed but the sun won eventually.

@SSA_Show listening to the SEND panel. I wonder how 'every teacher is a teacher of SEND' perpetuates silo thinking, should we move to 'Every teacher is a teacher of every child' understand needs and use a variety of strategies to adapt approaches to support engagement.

Highly recommend this book. Breaking trust down into care, sincerity, competence, and reliability means you can address the issue of trust in a more targeted way rather than just having a trust, don't trust mindset. #Leadership

Sometimes you come across the most amazing sights when you go out for a run. Ancient Thira was well worth navigating the challenging terrain to see it. @WeAreERC harder coming down than going up!

Sometimes, you have to give yourself permission to do things differently. Using 'too busy' as an excuse not to change just perpetuates existing habits. #SEND #Leadership #Inclusion

Here's my thoughts on being more ambitious for our education system and the need to move beyond just hoping for care and belonging. #Inclusion #SEND #Leadership
