I thought both Jye Gray and Jack Wighton were our 2 best last night. Early on in attack was the best I have seen Jye attack. Didn’t get the 200+ run metres, but scored one and set up another. Jack was brilliant defensively. Shut down so many attacking threats.

Dave Fifita is turning into a very good signing. So often rightfully accused of coming in and out of games. It’s great to see him finally rolling the sleeves up and doing the tough stuff. His combination with Latrell will only get better.

If you want to know how big a loss Cam Murray was to us last year, just look at the period when he was off the field before half time.

One of those games that was good for the nerves. Well below our best, but we get the 2 points. Defensively on our line I thought we were great. Now a week off.

We have done too much defending in that first half and showed late in the game. Api once again killed us before halftime.

Terrible end to the half. Seriously too much drop ball and poor discipline. Should have been up by plenty. Instead down by 2. Making it much harder on yourselves.

This Panthers side is insanely good.

Manly were lucky that Ponga and Brown went off injured. Who knows what the score would have been.

There are plenty of things to bag Albo about. This isn’t one of them. I remember being on the fightback committee when we were kicked out. He was on that same committee. He is as big a fan of the club as we all are.

Jye at fullback when attacking the line needs plenty of work still. Whilst against the weaker sides it won’t be an issue, we seen the problems last night. Too often caught with the ball. He has genuine weapons to use. Get them the ball in space.

Despite all the warnings of invading the field from the NRL and Souths, they knew it was going to happen. They knew it was going to be a huge moment for the game. They wanted it to happen. Perfect it happened last night and not next week up in Gosford.
