I just checked our model usage costs over the past ~24 hours. We’ve built in some clever model selection and caching mechanisms to bring the costs down without harming performance. Our overall cost to produce a completed iOS app right now is about $0.50. Very efficient!

I’ve built 23 new apps since last night in an effort to improve the Software Factory, 8 more building now. To maximize learning we’re testing outputs of various production methods with a council of LLMs. By Monday we’ll have a sampling of 50+ new apps to test manually.

My Software Factory v3 is going to parallel build 15 unique iOS applications overnight tonight (identified by my research as having the fastest revenue potential). Surely most will not be ready to ship automatically; the goal is to find and root out the factory’s imperfections.
