I hope events like Frosty's and Combo Breaker don't succumb like EVO did. I wouldn't be surprised if they accepted any offers, I can't even imagine the kind of money involved in deals like that, but I would be immensely sad and disappointed if it ever happened.

I'm not saying that there hasn't been amazing moments since then in the games and with the players, and there will probably still continue to be for years to come, but personally, I'm pretty discouraged. EVO might have ended with Moment 38 for me. I don't know.

I'm glad and appreciative that I was able to go to EVO back in 2019. It's one of my very fondest memories. That said, 2019 seems like it was the last 'real' EVO, before a whole bunch of bullshit happened for several years, so I'm mostly happy that I was able to go when I did.
