The web3 apps we know and love are functional because of access to “data”. and it's Oracles that make it possible for chains & dapps to be fed with real-time data. But @RialoHQ said Oracles are no good and threatens to kick them out of existence. Is this even possible? 🧵

If you read only one thread this year, make it this one. Over $39.73M has already been stolen in 2025 through phishing signature attacks. Many of those have been triggered by malicious token approvals — draining 43,628 wallets, according to @realScamSniffer. If you don’t truly

research tip of the day, start new research with a clear and open mind. just because a narrative did well before doesn't mean you should pick up the next shiny thing closest to it. scrutinize the fundamentals with an open mind so you can spot visible flaws if any.

Smart contracts are not designed to power real world dapps. and you don't know because you support apps without knowing their first big flaw, which is that they depend on middleware to access crucial data needed for apps to run & be useful let me break it down ⬇️

.@avax is undoubtedly the hub of institutional global finance. Asia, USA, other countries and institutions are looking to Avalanche for all their stablecoin and payment needs. Let’s explore some of Avalanche’s global impact in Q3 25 ⬇️

special offer for builders on Rialo: If you’re an early builder on Rialo, I’m open to help document your building BTS in collaboration with your dev team, to create 1 month worth of pre-launch content via the documented BTS. dm @KayDCopywriter for more details.

the building experience on Rialo is swift and the apps being made will be smoother. want in? sign up on the builder’s form or join the waitlist https://t.co/PjCMluFyEo Let me know your thoughts about Rialo vs Boba in the comments .

Rialo also offers, > real world connectivity: Rialo ensures seamless integration with any off chain APIs in your smart contract. > real world speed: No delays. No waiting. Applications on Rialo react to the real world. Speed ensured without chasing TPS.

these are all the issues Rialo is trying to weed off, especially all the patchworks and plug ins that make building apps long and stressful for Devs. With Rialo you can build apps fast and meet your users where they are. asides providing natively real world ready apps,

Possible Tradeoffs with Offchain Compute/@bobanetwork > the verification of external data is unclear. also if the data is wrong, the chances of it being detected or corrected are slim. > the long process makes data crawl and affects read time. > developers have more workload, etc.

defi apps, prediction markets, etc that need constant access to offchain data like price feeds use hybrid compute to fetch the data. Boba is the only multichain layer-2 optimistic rollup powered by Hybrid compute. Here is how Boba works⬇️

that’s where it functions as a middleware for most dapps and chains. A typical implementation of the offchain compute layer is seen in the first multichain L2 @bobanetwork. Boba Network’s Hybrid Compute allows smart contracts call external APIs or AI models.

these layers could be servers, specialized compute networks, or side systems which serve as “helper layer” for blockchains. there are necessary for blockchains which are slow, expensive or to enable access to external data which smart contracts can’t access on its own.

in Ep1 I did Oracles vs Rialo. https://t.co/GbvC3zlVmY today is for Offchain/Hybrid Compute. what is “Offchain Compute” Off-chain compute means running parts of a dapp’s logic or data processing outside the blockchain instead of directly inside smart contracts.

if the middleware is slow, app processing will be slow if the middleware costs a lot, it would impact platform fees. these middleware stack include: oracles, offchain compute, RPC infra and indexers. but can we do without middleware and still have smart apps?

the issues we face with blockchains and dapps like: > flawed ux > complex interfaces > slow apps > costly fees > hacks, etc to a large extent has its root cause in the fact that blockchains can't access offchain data so it has to depend on middleware to function. meaning,
