Reminder that these are arrests, not convictions. It's impossible to know if any court has agreed with the assessment that at least most of these people are violent criminals without knowing their names. (7)

There's several departments to request records from under DHS. I started with ICE. They pointed me to US Citizenship and Immigration Services (I still have one more FOIA pending with that agency). Emails to ICE asking about how the task force works have gone unanswered. (4)

I started with the US Attorney for the Eastern District of Virginia, who's referenced as leading the VHSTF. That office referred me to Virginia State Police. VSP pointed me to the Department of Homeland Security. (3)
