Trust me - it wasn’t all bad. I ate delicious, expensive food (even if it was leftovers), enjoyed the perks of success from the sidelines, and as a sommelier, drank a metric fuck tonne of exquisite wine. There was always another party to plan or set up for and I was/am proficient
