Shahrukh Khan getting the national award so late in his career reminds me of a story from the early days of my career. I worked with this organisation that used to give out best employee of the month and then quarterly awards. I was there for two years and saw many deserving.

Saw this is today's newspaper. #Kingdom is doing the publicity bit very well, covering all bases. Also noticed something - the THE is missing in front of The Vijay Deverakonda. He must have taken the audience feedback seriously and has mellowed down a lot. Good for the film.

Just saw the bookings for #MahavatarNarsimha - they are jaw dropping 😱. This one is a silent monster at the box office. Reminds me of Kantara. Somehow Hombale Films manages to do this consistently at the box office.

The #KingdomTrailer is excellent. And you know why I say that. it's because the WHY is explained very well in the beginning of the trailer. This is what I was trying to explain in the morning about what's lacking in the #War2Trailer. Hope it's clear now.

I have a bad habit. I rarely ever listen to the lyrics of any song. I don't know why but I realised that recently. And today for the first time I listened to all the songs of #Saiyaara and heard the lyrics properly. And my mind was blown. And I can now confirm that people.

Watched the #WAR2Trailer multiple times and I think I know what's missing in it. This line from Telugu summarizes the feeling well "నీ బాధేంటి బామ్మర్ధి". Let me explain. The trailer misses the WHY. Charcters' voiceover tells us HOW they feel and we see on screen WHAT they.

Leaving all the theories about why #Saiyaara is a rage at the box office, I wanted to highlight one aspect. The movie wastes no time in exposing us to the inner turmoil of the heroine and the hero. It's done in their respective intro scenes. We are right away invested in.

What I found very interesting was the crowd profile that came to watch #Saiyaara last night at the PVR cinema where I watched the film. Almost all of them are young people, who look like they would pull out their phones any moment and start making (some would say cringe) Reels.
