When you send a LinkedIn connection request, don’t just hit send. That’s usually ignored. “Hi X, I came across your post on career transitions and really appreciated your POV. I’d love to connect and follow your updates.” That’s far more likely to get accepted.

Job boards are great for spotting roles…but don’t apply there. Apply directly on the company site. Direct applications are often reviewed faster than third-party submissions. Plus job boards have been known to scrape and re-activate old jobs.

Don’t start every resume bullet with “Responsible for.” It’s vague and passive. Use action verbs that show ownership, like led, created, improved, implemented...

Your resume might be hiding your value. Too many resumes bury the relevant impact inside bullet points where everything looks equally important and experience is presented as job descriptions. If a recruiter is quickly skimming, they should still be able to easily see your

Resumes aren't about stuffing in buzzwords. Context and proof of concept matter so much. Saying you “managed projects” is vague. Saying you “delivered X project on time, leading Y people with Z budget” gives the reader everything they need to see your value.
