Done well, SEND units could be an amazing addition to SEND provision. Done badly they could be disastrous. But they shouldn’t replace the opportunity to learn in a mainstream classroom for those who thrive there (with support).

It’s #NeurodiversityCelebrationWeek and one condition that is often left out of these discussions is #DevLangDis . Amelia will be 13 at the end of this month. I hope that, by the time she is an adult, workplaces will understand DLD better and will be able to see her strengths.
