I also absolutely love that her partner (pictured) talked about reclaiming the father identity and that role that the colonials tried to rob from men. It is so powerful to hear men speak about reversing the harmful effects of toxic masculinity that colonization tried to force.

Spent the last 3.5 hours interviewing a woman (& her fam) on the land who is ready to birth her baby. She talked about forced sterilization & decolonizing birth. Stand out quote "Colonials attempted to assimilate us & eliminate us. We're ready to take back our body sovereignty.."
