🇦🇪 In the UAE: A draft U.S. deal would allow 500,000 Nvidia AI chips/year to be exported—quadruple the amount allowed under the Biden rule. 100,000 would go to G42, a UAE firm under scrutiny. The rest support U.S. firms building Gulf data centers.

The WH also announced $80B in joint investments with Gulf firms—Google, Oracle, Salesforce, AMD, and Uber are all in.

Despite reported internal U.S. concerns about security and human rights the Trump admin pulled back the diffusion rule. Now, it's debating letting countries negotiate directly with the U.S. over how many chips they can buy.

At the same time, Saudi Arabia has big plans to make the Kingdom the Middle East’s AI hub. On Monday, Crown Prince MBS launched Humain, a sovereign-wealth-backed AI venture.

But that’s not what happened. Nvidia & Oracle warned the rule would help China by closing U.S. firms out of emerging markets. Meanwhile, OpenAI, Google, Meta, and xAI are looking abroad for investment to fuel their AI ambitions.
