We just discharged my first sick kiddo on this PICU rotation and I am screaming crying throwing up from happiness. Last week she was in status asthmaticus, difficult sedation and intubation, desat to 35%, and just a few mins ago, she happily skipped to the exit door ❤️

Been having a lot of patients with poorly controlled diabetes lately. I’m fresh off 2 months of endocrinology, so naturally I made a powerpoint on the outpatient management of type 2 diabetes and the residency director now wants me to present it during didactics 🥹

Okay, but hear me out: pediatric endocrinology. I’m currently on an adult endo rotation, and I’m loving it! Imagine all the kiddos I could help to take charge of their diabetes, thyroid, GH, adrenal disorders, etc.! 🥹
