We don’t talk much about soaring highs immediately followed by crushing lows, and vice versa. I experienced both this week, and it does a number on you. Some people said I was their hero this week, others said I’m the problem. The trick is not letting either sentiment define me🙂

This thread is both spot on and exactly why I don’t talk abt *attracting* girls of color (or other marginalized groups) into #stem. The interest is already there, but the system does a good job driving us away from and discouraging our interest in it. The data also bear this out.
