A still from the time lapse I just posted using a 10mm lens on my Canon 700D, showing the areas I imaged that night with 50mm lens on my ASI294MC PRO. The first 50mm image shows the Rim Nebula, aka The Fighting Dragons of Ara at centre of frame, and the second is Rho Ophiuchi.

This is RCW 85, also known as the Devils Tower. It sits between the the 2 pointer stars to the Southern Cross, Alpha and Beta Centaurus. 110 minutes (22 x 5 min) imaging, 80mm refractor, Antila Tri-Band filter and ASI 294 MC Pro camera, from my back yard on 20th and 23rd April.

Sad news this morning that the Little Desert Nature Lodge has burnt down in the bush fires sweeping through the area at the moment. The venue hosted the Vic South Star Party, which I have attended over the past 2 years. Thankfully everyone is safe.
