Devastating news in Hockeyland. King Philip girls head coach Ken Assad unexpectedly passed today. He was in his 7th year coaching the program after serving as assistant for the Franklin boys within a long coaching career. Statement from the school district:

We are heartbroken to hear of Kenny’s passing. Sending love to his family, the KP girls hockey team, and coaches. Kenny was always the biggest supporter of our program and so proud to hear of all his players success. KP lost a great one, he will be forever missed ❤️
