Launch Angle represents the vertical angle at which the BALL leaves the player’s bat after being struck. Don’t confuse Launch Angle with Bat or Plane Angle. If you swing up, hit top of ball, ball goes straight in ground, what kind of LA did you create?
Exit-velo is important(potential) BUT there is more to hitting than just that. Consistent max exit-velo, K-zone awareness, and situational hitting are more important to win. It’s like a P throwing 95 but can’t throw K’s or even better, he can only throw a FB for K.

By now, I would think most would agree that staying flat (short to it long through it) increases our potential for barreling up balls, which means more balls in play, BA goes up and K’s go down. Ball down? Stay through it, no need to collapse backside and swing up to create LA.
I’m all about using the whole field, especially with 2k or situational hitting. !!!! BUT if you can’t pull a ball with backspin, you have a mechanical flaw that will result in high strikeouts #’s and low batting average (which matters) because you can’t stay through the zone.
Serious Question:
IF communication is important to the development of our hitters, why do we use words we have to look up in the dictionary and terms that make no sense? EXAMPLE: disassociation, contralateral stability, reciprocating, centration then horizontal abduction.
I couldn’t be at Brick’s graduation because we are playing in the Conference Tournament. No problem, I walked with him on FaceTime. I’m proud of you Brick!!❤️
Hearing several quotes about ground force, using the earth’s gravity force, power from the ground up, Blah Blah. This is simple: your backside hits into Stiff Frontside, It creates leverage and torque! AND IF your barrel is not out front, you don’t reach your leverage point.
I LIKE these numbers: Exit Velo, FB mph, Launch Angle, Spin Rate, 60 times, Pop Times

Hitters learn in several different ways (Audio, visual, drill, feel, analytics) Do not limit your communication tools to one way and definitely don’t believe one is better than the other. Gotta figure out which buttons to push so they can maximize potential.

This is what I see! 1. Slow, early load 2. Fooled on the pitch but soft on the stride that allows hands to stay back 3. Balanced, with hands working. All this equals a tank

It’s not about swinging hard and swinging up. ITS ABOUT SQUARING UP BASEBALLS OUTFRONT!
