Keep kids in this longer, instead of feeling the need to "cut" kids by non-participation in games when they are seventh graders so they will just go away. Field more teams. Give more kids a chance.

They want to, and they want to play. You want them there to sit on the bench. Field more teams. All of the AA schools should field second teams that play in the A level. Make it no seniors, make it sophomores only, or sophomores and younger, whatever. (3)

Because Fargo Davies has the same number of basketball teams as Maple Valley. That's a problem. If extra-curricular activities is a part of the educational process, get more kids involved. And before you tell me that they don't want to participate, that's bull---t. (2)

Unpopular take alert: Article talks about chronic absenteeism in schools. Kids are incentivized to attend by many things. One is extra-curricular activities. Small schools = large percentage of participants. Big schools = smaller percentage Why? (1)

Sports are so LOUD now. It seems like everyone screams and is overly demonstrative with angry faces even in victory. Ryne Sandberg was one of the last of the quiet, graceful athlete who simply did everything well with understated class. I miss that. They don't make them like him
