Losing my job will likely force me to self-employment. The difficulty of finding remote work due to all the RTO mandates would leave me at the prospect of commuting to Vancouver from the US or to fucking Seattle. :x

So yeah, I’m stressed right now with all the uncertainty. I’m cried from stress the last two days. i’m not okay

As I live/work in the US but my employer is Canadian, my tax filings are as such that most of my income does not count towards EI. So if I’m laid off, I’ll get severance but basically no unemployment.

I’m feeling huge anxiety over my job right now, and I don’t know if I should stay or go. The company is seriously cutting back on IT spend and my boss tells me revenue is 15% below target.

I really need to spend a lot more time reflecting what I want to get out of this life, what I should work towards and ultimately find what makes me happy. Ngl, I’m struggling a bit right now. I feel pretty isolated and short on local folks who I have close friendships with.
