Our Year 7 girls played their first competitive rounders matches of the season — and for many, their first ever! They showed great teamwork and determination, securing impressive wins against Notre Dame and King Ecgbert. A fantastic start — well done to the whole team!

KES cross country runners put in a great effort at the Sheffield Schools' Cross Country relays on Saturday at Longley Park. The girls' teams stood out and the Y7 girls won their race by a huge margin, while the Y8/9 girls ran brilliantly to finish 3rd. Fantastic performances!

Y8 historians visited Quarry Bank Mill on 23rd April. They enjoyed consolidating their understanding of the Industrial Revolution and were complimented by the staff for asking great questions! Well done 8LP! 8RS will visit next week. Thank you to Mrs Brown for organising it all.

VE Day, or Victory in Europe Day, is commemorated on 8th May to mark the end of World War II in Europe in 1945. On this day, Allied forces accepted the unconditional surrender of Nazi Germany, bringing years of conflict on the European continent to a close.

It was a moment of great relief and celebration across Europe, especially in the UK, where people filled the streets with joy and hope for a peaceful future. VE Day reminds us of the sacrifices made during the war and the importance of peace and unity.

Another amazing week for Year 7 students who attended the Wesley Hall Lunch Club on Thursday 13th March 2025, with Miss Sale. The students worked exceptionally hard throughout the day and the feedback from the Lunch Club was wonderful.
