Tomorrow, King County Council will proclaim Dec. 25-31 as Boys in the Boat Week in King County in celebration of the feature film adaptation of the story of the historic University of Washington rowing team that went on to win the gold medal at the 1936 Berlin Olympics.

I was pleased to lead my fellow councilmembers in presenting a proclamation of September as National Service Dog Month in King County. We were joined by representatives from Brigadoon Service Dogs, Canine Companions, and a special pup named Atticus who accepted the proclamation.

Join the Recovery Café as it hosts the 'Leaves of Remembrance' dedication today at 1pm at Recovery Café 2022 Boren Ave. Bronze leaves bearing the names of unhoused people who have died, along with other Café Members who we have lost, will be placed outside the Café.
