BREAKING NEWS; KETTERING BUCCLEUCH ACADEMY SOARS ABOVE NATIONAL AVERAGE. Our Progress 8 score now sits ‘well above’ the national average at +0.61. This strong performance makes us the top achieving school in Kettering and one of the top four achieving schools in the county.

We would like to congratulate former student Lucy Heald who has won a place in the National Youth Theatre (NYT) Company. Lucy deserves every success in her future career.
Teamwork makes the dream work as staff and Sixth Form students work together to put remote learning packs together for Year 7-11 students. Those not in school to be given theirs will have these sent out to them.
The DfE’s performance data ranks us second out of 68 schools and colleges in Northamptonshire for A-level performance. This highlights that we continue to make a difference to the lives of our students.

The academy will be CLOSED today (Friday 9th February) following a major water leak which has left the building without water or heating. Have a safe half-term. We will re-open on Monday 19th February. Please RT.
We will shortly be taking part in a ceremony where the academy will receive a Rose of Northamptonshire Award. This award is given to those groups or individuals who have worked tirelessly to keep our communities safe, and our businesses moving during the global COVID-19 crisis.

It’s the last week of term - let’s make it a good one. This Thursday will be a non-uniform day across the academy with donations supporting our Cancer Research fundraising.
Tonight we would have been celebrating a very special time with our Year 11 students at their Prom. We are very sad that this has not been possible and wanted to let Year 11 know that they are very much at the front of our thoughts today.
