Can't believe the Australian leg of the book tour is over. I had a blast in Sydney, Melbourne, and Adelaide! A major highlight was the event with my old pal Louise Herron at @SydOperaHouse. The talk was attended by 180 people including Christine Elder of @USEmbAustralia!

I've had an incredible time on the book tour in Tel Aviv, where I've had two great talks! My host is the brilliant Dina Aldor who leads the superb @BatshevaDanceCo that has performed so often at @BAM_Brooklyn over the years showcasing the great choreography of Ohad Naharin.

...the REAL lesson learned is that the book and the tour made it possible for me to be a real advocate and champion for all of the ARTS—the greatest, most enduring and positive legacy of our entire civilization.

As I reflect on the experience of the tour, I realized that at first I thought my job was to talk about @BAM_Brooklyn. While that certainly is true...

I'm looking forward to the grueling but equally exciting next leg of my book tour, including Tel Aviv, Abu Dhabi, Sydney, and more. And I can't believe what an adventure it's already been. https://t.co/8ADwAi1EyR

I'm so proud to join @stannswarehouse to bring @walkwithamal to NYC. Her walk across our city and her 5000 mile journey across Europe last summer is the largest public art and social justice project in history. #LittleAmalWalksNYC

"But scattered hits and crowded concerts can distract from the reality that, for most classical and theatrical institutions and shows, attendance is down, ticket prices are depressed, productions are fewer, and memberships or subscriptions have fallen." https://t.co/cpe7Cox2op

Attendance lagged in the comeback season, as the challenges posed by the coronavirus persisted. Presenters hope it was just a blip.
