Today is a very big day. Hospital this morning for a pump disconnect and picc line removal. CT scan this afternoon to see if the chemotherapy has been working .

So a week ago today I had the first Chemo. 4 hours at the hospital on drips etc. 46 hours connected by pump at home and then disconnected at the hospital on Thursday. Oddly I’ve been feeling quite good. Minimal side effects and the issues I’ve been having seem to be easing 🙏.

So…. I’ve Been told it’s not curable. I’m taking that as it’s not curable at this moment in time…. Seeing an oncologist tomorrow to sort out starting chemotherapy. Certainly didn’t have this on my 2024 bingo card.
Been called in for a meeting with the Macmillan nurse tomorrow to discuss outcomes 😳😳😳😳.

So it may not seem overly significant however today is my 40th birthday… based on the last five months I have to be honest I’m quite happy to make it. Still a long road ahead and not entirely sure I’ll make the next one however onward and upwards.

Oncologist has said currently the option is to manage and control it. Chemotherapy to start asap, hopefully it shrinks the tumours and we can look at different outlooks etc. Hopeful it works.
