On June 12, FM IWAYA received a courtesy call from Prof. Takemi Keizo, member of the House of Councillors, and #HIV/#AIDS experts who was visiting Japan for the 10th Asia Pacific AIDS and Co-Infections Conference (#APACC).

Simplifying the universal health coverage narrative can help to achieve political action. The narrative should be centred around four core elements: universality, equity, adequate financing, and preparedness in public health emergencies.#UHC.

Two important meetings at UNGA this week - the #SummitOfTheFuture and High-Level Meeting on #AMR. Critical that world leaders remember that these meetings are ultimately about, and for, people and communities.
For the UN HLM on #AMR, we echo Dr. @JustinKoonin’s call to center health programs on people and communities. To tackle AMR effectively, governments must establish credible #SocialParticipation mechanisms and integrate direct input from those they serve.
