20. God, who called Quentin back to Him, surely had a great mission to entrust to this beautiful soul: to lead us all to Him. He remains our friend in heaven, we are his witnesses here on earth, and his light remains in us as a reflection of hope.

19. His death inspires us to be courageous, to never again remain silent in the face of those who seek to tarnish his memory and his commitments. To never again allow ourselves to succumb to laziness, mediocrity, or senseless violence.

18. Dear friends, Quentin's death is not absurd. Let us not be afraid, we who share or respect Quentin's convictions.

17. She tells us that anti-fascism and, more broadly, the left are deadly ideologies that attack their political enemies with the worst kind of violence, without limits, without shame.

16. She tells us that amid the ongoing crises facing our misguided society, there are young people who are committed, proud, and upright, with strong values and noble ideals, ready to serve to the end.

14. Why this gathering? Because we also need to understand what Quentin's death tells us, through history and time, through its terrible circumstances.

13. In our last conversations, we were trying to raise funds to renovate our church in Vienna, which was in poor condition but very dear to us. I will have to carry out this project without him.

12. A loyal friend, he was one of those people you could always count on. Discreet, he never imposed himself, never put on airs or acted exuberantly. He was interested in others, asked a thousand questions, and sought to understand.

11. He was keen to share this strong faith that sustained him, especially with younger people. He was my little brother's godfather.

10. He had even taken his whole family with him on this path of conversion. He belonged to a generation that rediscovered the transcendence we so desperately need and sought to transmit it wherever it was lacking.

9. A devout Catholic, he found his way to church on his own, first at Notre Dame de l'Isle, then at St. Georges and St. Just, moved by the beauty of the traditional Mass.

8. He was involved in every struggle, always ready to lend a hand, because he was deeply convinced that the actions of good people can change things. He loved his civilization, his country, and his comrades.

7. He was a committed activist, not because of ideology or indoctrination, but because he wanted to live each day according to his convictions, seeking the truth and putting it into practice. He read extensively, debated, and questioned himself.

6. First, because it is crucial to pay tribute to him in the city where he studied, laughed, prayed, and was committed. To remember what a virtuous and upright young man he was, always ready to help.

5. My friend, who may now be yours, to all of you who have come to honor his memory. Thank you for coming, so many of you, from so far away! Why this gathering? That is what the lazy and fearful ask themselves, and perhaps asked you when they learned of your presence.

4. For a week now, we have been hearing bullying and slander about his name everywhere, with television stations, eager for scandal, spouting fabrications and lies about my friend.

3. It has now been a week since, under the cruel blows of anti-fascist violence, he gave up his soul to God, dying in the line of duty.

2. It has now been a week since Quentin, a young man full of life, Catholic and nationalist, discreet and generous, a friend, a son, a brother, died.
