idk why so many people canāt wrap their heads around the fact that sonic has generally always had its identity rooted in being the underdog. when youāre going up against Goliaths like nintendo, yeah people are gonna take more pride when sonic seemingly gets an upper hand.

sonicās ability to keep pushing and moving forward DESPITE the fact that this virus is slowly taking him over is what makes this arc so entertaining in the first place. it doesnāt matter how exhausted he gets, he keeps moving. that is sonic.
IDW Metal Virus should have ended with Sonic getting fully taken over and resisting control because heās him similar to dark gaia corruption.

well the obvious difference is that the mania team made the most critically acclaimed sonic game to date and the superstars team did hey pikmin.
People look at an art style and make the decision, on that alone, that the game's quality would've been good. Superstars was pretty, too, and people thought it was mid. That being said, I would LOVE to see something more surreal like this done with Sonic.

has not one singular feeling in this game that isnāt tied to the male lead. not one line of dialogue that doesnāt revolve around the male lead. doesnāt talk to a single other woman character in the game without it being about the male lead.

iām still really looking forward to crossworlds but surely it cannot be THAT difficult to reuse voice lines from older games right? i can sorta understand the third party collabs, but SEGA OWNS these characters ši donāt even need them to have english dubbed lines man.
