So invigorating to be back in a learning conference space, and surprisingly social even though virtual. Amazing that the themes from today are so consistent. Thanks @RCOT_CYPF #coproduction #serviceusersareexperts #facilitatethroughplay #CYPF20 #tirednowtho

Really pleased that this report (which I had a hand in producing) was launched today. It describes how #OccupationalTherapy services can be designed to ensure children & young people receive the right help at the right time so they have skills & resilience they need for life.

Ooo a new model - the MUDA model used in Enfield, very accessible language that is transferable and can be used as a quick check that we’re not wasting time, resources, or money in our practice ensuring best outcomes for our service and clients #CYPF2019

Dr Jess Turnbull delivering a fantastic insight into sleep (and stick insects) merging the medical, anthropological, and social models. Consider using Mr Men as a strengths based model and the Xbox adapted controller gets another worthy mention. #CYPF2019

Yesterday Dr Ann Gordon reminded everyone to have a proactive focus not reactive to enlarge your circle of influence. I think being proactive also empowers the individual, encourages change, and reduces burn-out. #CYPF2019

Helene Polatajko engaged the audience again. Key points: Generalisation & transfer (of knowledge) are difficult. A new/different skill invokes cognition. As cognitive load increases performance decreases. Cognition interferes with automatic behaviour performance. #CYPF2019

Really interesting talk on SCERTS by Sarah. I didn’t know about the different communication stages and thought the Tier’d slide is easy access. Another course to consider! #CYPF2019
