My life is such that I care much more about supporting my friends in real life going through drama than creating drama for the characters in my story. That said, I did writ 2000 words early this morning when I couldn't sleep.

I woke up at 3am today with a brainstorm idea of how to better present my MC2's primary goal that will give the expression of her motivation more tension. So, I got up and wrote a short scene. I'm so tired - but happy. #WritingCommunity.

I'm about to edit the beginning of this scene. Posting this illustration I did a year ago to help motivate myself today that I do want to publish this story some day and share it with others, even though it's taking me SO LONG to finish.

Our in person writing club is meeting today. Neither of us have done much writing because both of us have had a difficult month. We might take the time to just write. Does anyone else meet with other writers? Does it help?.

Mine was 34, but my cat when crazy! She is acting like there is something in my laptop! and sniffing and digging under it.

300+ words, but 3 pages edited. Not bad. But what's really good is that I stayed seated and didn't get distracted by social media. Tomorrow I'll put in more time and see how far I can get!.

Much of my vacation mimicked a cat life. I spent time with people who love me and fed me. I didn't have to do anything and I took a nap whenever I wanted.

And it's not like a rogue, worn out sock that slips in; I can't just toss anxiety inducing complications I have no control over into the campfire and watch it burn while I eat s'mores. or can I? 🤔.

As if Seraph poked his out of my bag and started demanding attention, feeding and the inevitable mess clean up. "Sorry my cat threw up all over our reunion." Is not a conversation I want to have.

Bad decisions on bulky skirts and heavy belts that I'll never actually wear only mean I'll have less room for that cute sweater for cooler nights. But the weight and heft of some of these troubles threaten to take the space of joy, relaxation and peace.

So, while I'm being practical about the least number of shoes needed for the outfits I've picked out, I'm also checking the pockets of my mind for worry stow-aways.
