If Apex wants to last like CS, LoL, or Fortnite, they need to stop trying to soften the game for casuals and protect the things that made Apex special in the first place. Movement. Skill. Speed. Expression. That’s Apex’s identity, not bunker legends and slows.

Apex had a unique identity: fast movement + mechanical skill + insane outplay potential. That’s why it blew up. The more Respawn moves away from that, the worse the game gets. A skill ceiling isn’t a problem it’s the lifeline of a competitive game.

The irony? Casual players still leave anyway. So we end up with a game that: frustrates high-skill players bores mid-skill players still loses casuals feels slower every season Nobody wins.

Apex is the opposite. Respawn keeps: – nerfing movement – weakening high-skill legends – slowing the pace – adding more stuns/slows/defenses – pushing bunker metas – reducing outplay potential They’re removing the EXACT things players loved.

Every successful competitive game protects its identity: CS hardly changes anything Fortnite never removed building LoL never simplified mechanics Even Zero Build kept a high skill curve They ADD things, but never delete what made the game skillful.

Meanwhile, the high-skill community. the grinders, Predator players, streamers, ALGS fans is the group that actually keeps a game alive. Apex keeps nerfing movement, slowing fights, and buffing bunker legends. It hurts EXACTLY the players who would stay forever.

Here’s the problem with Apex: Respawn keeps catering to “casual players,” but that always backfires. Casuals don’t stay long-term no matter what you do. They bounce between games, seasons, and trends. You can’t build a game around people who don’t stick around.

Apex is the only big competitive game that keeps nerfing the exact skill ceiling that made it blow up. Games like LoL, CS, and Fortnite NEVER do that and that’s why they survive for 10+ years.
