I know it is hard to comprehend, but it is hard to win. Every Friday night, every Saturday, half the teams in the nation lose. Enjoy every win. There is no good win, ugly win, they all are just wins. But the expectations of head coaches is unrealistic.

Every year it saddens me when a kid decides to not play his Senior year. It is supposed to be YOUR year. All the other years have led up to this. Never had a kid regret playing, had hundreds regret not playing. You will regret the lost relationships.

I couldn’t be prouder of the 2020 Tigers!! All are hurting, but what a legacy they left. Finished the season with another barn burner, left it all on the field, left a legacy. Proud coach, I will miss the c/o 2021.

Madison County appreciates all the love and support from other coaches and programs. Stuff can be replaced, people cannot. We thank God for his protection. Our hearts and prayers go out to all those other counties affected by Idalia. The Cowboys will be back on the field soon.

Welcome to Florida HS football, except they get paid millions. We’ve been dealing with it for 10 years.
College football is losing its best coaches because there is zero structure. It’s impossible to manage rosters, keep players from bolting, or have any say in who to pay but still have to worry about NCAA?? It’s a joke and if it doesn’t get fixed soon more will make the same jump!

It is ironic how college coaches have multi-million dollar recruiting budgets, huge supp. staffs, & want kids (who can’t afford it) to visit campus to get an offer. If you can’t evaluate film, see a kid in person & decide if you want to offer you might be in the wrong profession.

Coach, I know it doesn’t seem like it, but Orlando is not a central location. It is 3.5 hours from Miami, but 7.5 hours from Pensacola. Florida is much bigger than we realize sometimes. The actual central location would be Ocala/Gainesville.
