The 2025 #CarterWorkProject with @AustinHabitat has come to an end, and what an extraordinary week it was building 25 affordable homes. Though this was the first project since President Carter’s passing, his spirit was felt in every nail hammered and every wall raised.

The Jimmy & Rosalynn #CarterWorkProject kicked off with our opening ceremony tonight at the Texas State History Museum in Austin, TX. It’s the first since President Carter’s passing and the weight of his and Mrs. Carter’s legacy could be felt in the room.

It was great to be in San Francisco earlier this week for @wef's Urban Transformation Summit as I had the honor of moderating the Pioneering Places initiative launch. We're excited for the impact this program will have on shaping more sustainable and inclusive cities!

On this #WorldHabitatDay2025, I am celebrating with @HabitatNYC_WC as they unveil Jimmy Carter Way on Sixth Street to honor President Jimmy Carter's legacy on bringing hope and housing to people around the world.

I so admired Dr. Jane Goodall's sustained commitment to making the world better. We agreed that we need a Habitat for Humanity and our animal friends. Rest in peace, Jane.

Today, I attended a dedication ceremony at the @CarterCenter that unveiled a commemorative Forever stamp in honor of President Carter—fitting for the legacy of his life of service.

Happy heavenly birthday to Habitat Humanitarian President Carter. His lifetime of service to creating a better world was an inspiration of mine and his legacy will continue on through the #CarterWorkProject and every person helped through the security of a decent place to live.

Earlier today, our CEO @JReckford attended and spoke at the Inaugural High-Level Roundtable of Global Champions on Adequate and Affordable Housing, the first time in 80 years of the @UN General Assembly where housing was highlighted as a global urgency.
