Koga Falls in Aso, Kumamoto Pref. is a pair of waterfalls that falls flow over a cliff on the outer rim of Mt. Aso. From Jan. - Feb., strong winds from the Aso Valley can freeze the falls, and the spray forms ice pillars and fine “ice flowers” that sometimes cover the rock face.
