Short lesson in hiring from someone who’s made every hiring mistake in the book:. • A great consultant won’t ask for a retainer upfront . • A great salesperson won’t demand a high base . • A great engineer won’t offer a solution before fully understanding the problem . • A.

Anyone else used GoDaddy's domain broker service. Every time I try I get "oh the owner is planning on launching a big business with this name" but would be willing to settle for 6+ figure. BS.

MS Power Automate has so much potential. Why does it not allow me to run a simple Powershell script using cloud flow. don't want to go through the trouble of setting up desktop.

If you guessed the free event. then you are absolutely correct. My point isn't to debate free vs paid. Its that the best opportunities are often right under our noses and you never know who you will meet unless you put yourself out there.

I went to 3 networking events last week geared toward business professionals. A 300$/ticket conference (with networking lunches/coffee breaks), a 10$/ticket evening mixer, and a free happy hour event. Guess which one yielded the best results?.

Iv'e been running an IT Solutions and Consulting company for almost 4 years. My biggest challenge for me has always been establishing a niche. As much as I love to say our solutions are generic and can apply to every industry (healthcare, finance, manufacturing etc). .

Started consulting for a small AI startup recently. Even though the payment trumps in comparison to some of the big corps, I'm loving every second of it.

For anyone who has ever had to write a government proposal, I am about to blow your mind using @Microsoft CoPilot. As much as we are all out here debating OpenAI vs Anthropic vs Deepseek - when you think about how much unstructured data is held in any corporate SharePoint or

“The cloud is too expensive!?” is still the number one pushback I get when dealing with clients who are running on-prem. Usually a belief they’ve picked up from some colleague or at a former role. YES! Because they hadn't configured it correctly and they were vastly.

Many of AI’s greatest challenges have been solved. I mean just look at all Azure AI Services offerings. Simple plug and play platforms with pre-trained models and APIs you can easily connect your applications to in order to run real-time inference. 2025 is going to be

Office vs No Office. the 5-year debate. I’ve worked in corporate offices my entire adult life. When I was younger, I loved the social aspect of going into the office to hang out with my coworkers both during and after hours. But then the pandemic hit while I was living in

It's crazy to me how many companies ban the use of chatGPT and Claude, thinking employees won't go around their back to use them anyway. My focus for the past couple of years has been working with enterprise clients in highly regulated industries – mostly Healthcare and

I talk to companies every week who I know for a FACT will be going into 2025 using on-prem server hardware and software systems from 15 years ago. It’s hard to watch. Yep, Windows 2012 is alive and well, and Hadoop’s still out there grinding. While they all tell me their
