Early days of course but Rommens looks like an excellent find. A player who will massively improve the team.

Yesterday, he bullied Hearts in all areas of the pitch. I think his physical prowess is what separates him most clearly from the rest of the league. Mixed with his intelligence, you get a player that can seriously impact in every game.

It's not just attacking threat Rommens brings of course. His physicality and decision making work at both ends of the pitch. In the last year, Rommens leads all Belgian Pro League LBs in aerial duels per 90 (4.08) and leads in the percentage of aerial duels won (60.94)

After he passes to Moore, Rommens sees the space created behind the play. His decisiveness when making the run creates this entire goal. His physicality gets him into the space before the defender and then he once again makes the right decision with the first time pass.

When we think of good decision making on the pitch, picking the correct pass or shot is what often comes to mind. Every action on the pitch requires a decision and Rommens makes the right one very often.

Tuur Rommens was #RangersFC best player yesterday. His quality didn't waver with the momentum of the game. His energy and intelligence when moving is what makes him great going forward. He finds and creates space with his runs and then has the intelligence to find a teammate
