Prepping a workshop today and upgraded all Dynamo images/slides to latest UI. Then I discovered this. Didn't know, wanted to share.

I know it's different things, but if we did a collective effort to train them, it should be possible right? On IFC models directly maybe. If someone made the plattform I think a lot of engineers and architects would gladly put in leisure time to train it.. 2/2

A big problem in AEC when it comes to doing good LCAs at scale is data integrity and just general fragmentation. Meanwhile, Dall-E can create a picture with a couple of text lines. Why can't an AI be trained to cope with our lousy data and still provide a rough estimate? 1/2

Geez, @data_shapes is not kidding around! They built a friggin’ python IDE for Revit! It looks great! 👍 #OkPy

Autodesk Forma.. Just.. just don't.. Please talk with your customers, @autodesk . I mean TALK with them.. It shouldn't be that difficult. And yes, please tell me I'm wrong! (and why! :) )

Fun with art, coding and geometry #2 (or as far as I got during Dynamo Challenge #2..) Should be mentioned: based on Matt Shlians wonderful paper artistry: https://t.co/mcjbqyPG2a

Serious question, how did Excel become the minimum viable platform for compute across virtually all industries? Was it ease of access? Simplicity of use? What would it take to bump it up a notch?

Two cents: the building industry is a 1000s yo accumulation of culture, diciplines, power structures, varying adoptions to climate etc etc. To impatient tech people: don’t be surprised if the ship is slow to turn around. Logic doesn’t always trump feelings either.

I may have known this at some point, but you can copy watch-node content in Dynamo. nice. :) #Nowyouknow

Hmm, I think I accidentally discovered the algorithm for creating Voronois today. Make pizza dough, use to much yeast, done. 😬

2/2 And I guess a little more transparency in how much the voting actually weighs in wouldn't hurt either? I got a class in last year, with virtually no votes at all. I get the backdrop of this being a corporate event etc, but at least reveal how the voting works. two cents.

1/2 I'm maybe out on a limb on this one, or sound like a grumpy old man, (which is probably true..) but the community voting part of AU sessions seems to be a measure of ones network capabilites, more than how much people really want the content of the class. No?

Want to learn how you can build a solid foundation for creating BIM deliverables within Fire and Acoustics? Maybe even how innovation management helped creating that? (And just for referance: yes, there will also be a good portion of Dynamo stuff.. ;) ) https://t.co/Gj3YnWNKrd

I rarely share out of work stuff on Twitter, but I really recommend actually building stuff for the tech oriented part of AEC. The serenity and flow you get from woodworking trumps almost everything I do at work. Plus it feels more like honest work for some reason. 🙂
