The new EMS advisory committee will inform a new provincial plan with initial recommendations by May 2022. Meanwhile, Alberta Health Services is immediately rolling out a 10-point plan to quickly add capacity to EMS. (2/2).

After receiving feedback from Albertans and education planners, our government is adjusting the implementation timelines for the new K-6 curriculum. The Curriculum Implementation Advisory group will help determine how to successfully implement the new curriculum in September.

I am thrilled to see that the Government of Alberta is launching an accelerated immigration pathway for workers in the tech sector. By attracting highly-skilled tech professionals to Alberta, we can strengthen our workforce, support investment, and diversify our economy.

I am happy to share that Alberta’s economic recovery keeps extending to more families across the province. As we start a new year, we have so much to continue to look forward to.

In-person learning is essential to the overall well-being and development of children and youth. I am happy to see that students will be returning to in-person learning on January 10 with measures in place to keep students and teachers safe.

To provide additional planning time and support a successful return to school, winter break will be extended for K-12 students.
