experience and competence are not the same thing, and it’s wild how much many industries value the first over the second.

Sheep will soon be grazing the Zoo’s 150-acre, 28 megawatt solar farm in Warren County! This solar farm will help provide renewable energy to Warren County and the sheep will help manage the farm's weeds and shrubs. https://t.co/0dC8L59Anm

Congrats to @KrishnaroopC for his paper on visualizing how small dye molecules penetrate and diffuse into polymer coatings! Our first attempt with confocal microscopy to directly see penetration. Nice collaboration with @riddhis_life and the Ober group. https://t.co/otWrrer3uU

Congrats to @drdarby_phd for his paper on multi-arm, metal coordinated gels! We show that increasing the number of arms increases the high frequency plateau modulus. Nice collaboration with @chwatko. https://t.co/m2DafTQqEU

New paper by, a now graduated, Justin Glover! We found that creasing occurs in soft, adhesive friction. Interfacial strength and slip within crease surfaces play key roles. Read it here @NatureComms. A great collaboration with Rong Long and Xingwei Wang.

Nature Communications - Soft friction remains elusive due to the complication at microscales where the elastic forces are comparable to capillarity and adhesion. Glover et al. show that a moving...

New paper in @PhysRevLett on dynamic wetting on swollen (infused) elastomers. A custom setup to look at how liquid separates from a network near a moving contact line, which is related to drop sliding velocity and swelling ratio.

If I were a supervillain trying to reduce the productivity of the nation's brightest scientists, I would have them spend weeks working on grants that only have a 10% to 20% acceptance rate. Then, I'd get them to waste any remaining time with @SAPConcur for travel reimbursements.

New paper in @softmatter on wetting of uncrosslinked, soft polymer surfaces at high temperature. The wetting ridge formation and profile can be described by polymer dynamics and the time-dependent modulus measured by rheology. Congrats @KrishnaroopC! https://t.co/x15l2Ns7Mt
