Observed one of my kinders sneaking a fairly good sized snowball into their locker after recess. They were quite shocked when I had to take it away and put it outside. #kinderchat

I have a parent that will always reply all to an email. I think they mean to reply only to me but I’m not sure. I just don’t think they’re familiar with the etiquette. How do I tell them nicely without making them feel bad.

I have 14 students this year. I’ve never had less than 20 since I started teaching kindergarten. Everytime I do a headcount I feel like I’ve lost some kids. #kinderchat

Our school district made employee wellness a priority this year & I'm so thankful. Emphasizing taking care of ourselves first. Going for walks, taking lunch breaks, leaving work at work, etc. Knowing this helps me to remember my wellness is important & impacts my students.

Today was my 16th first day of kindergarten. The nervous anticipation in their eyes followed by smiles and not wanting to go home. I love it still.

My oldest will be a senior in HS this year. I’m in the college-visits stage of life right now. Embracing (and bracing for) this next part of the journey.😃😢

Watched several parents physically get out of their vehicles in the drop-off lane to hug their kids. There was a little extra in their embraces. My heart aches.

Graduation announcements from my former kinders (13yrs ago) are coming in - and the tears are joyously flowing. What a feeling it is to be remembered by them and to know that I (hopefully) made an impact.
