Always amusing when a guy named Mike is a linebacker but is not “The Mike”. I’ve seen some puzzled looks by less intelligent defenders when they are calling a guy not named Mike, Mike. Probably could have been an Abbott & Costello Schtick. Anyways I’m rambling have a good day.

Football Position “Names” that are making me angry!. QB1 will forever top the list. How dumb and hokey and wimpy. I want a Starting Quarterback, not a QB1. Edge is making a strong push to challenge. Viper, Spur, Rover, Buck, Star, Money Back, Stud all honorable mention.

I have a Great Memory. What’s funny with football though is that I remember all the details about only two games, Valpo & Ben Davis and practically nothing else. However I could probably tell 50 boring stories from August Practice. So what I’m saying is appreciate August Practice.

The biggest myth I heard about parenting was the “Har har just wait until she can walk” acting like it was tougher. Summer of walking daughter was wayyyyyyyyyy more fun than lay/crawl around baby. We do things! It’s fun!.

This will never happen I’m well aware because of money, but would MLB be better with the College Baseball schedule through the whole year. A Fri-Sun Series, a single midweek game etc. Teams would be playing the best players, fewer games mean more etc.

Who would be the most amusing Coaches to jump into a scrum? Mike McDaniel? Andy Reid?. I feel without knowing Vrabel did this you could have said Dan Campbell or Jim Harbaugh and I wouldn’t have blinked an eye.

After a Rowdy Freshman practice the Goal Posts were torn down and thrown into the St. Joe*. *I am making this up. **But carrying the Goal Posts to the St Joe could be a great drill to foster Teamwork and a Great way to cool off.

“I hire good people and just let them do their work”. You know how much money you need to do this? Any profession. Not me man, you put me in charge of something I’m gonna be involved. In theory great, but doesn’t always work like that. Quality workers are hard to find IMO.

Happy First Day of Practice. Yes I’m old enough to remember when Coaches would show up in these “Shorts”. One day I’m gonna buy a pair, today is not that day.
