Imagine if Chuck Norris woke up at his own funeral like, “The Legend died once, but Chuck Norris lived.”

Snyder cultists picked an excellent time in the political theater of the United States to start taking politicians and what comes out of their mouth as fact.

(12) Again, my main point here is (5). There’s no reason to invest. I’ll be invested again once the Mcu can grow a story in its own backyard.

(11) And by bringing back all these old actors and making fan casts more and more often, you’re hurting your viewers when you one day decide to cast new actors as beloved characters. They’ll be soured onto the idea because you fed them what they wanted, not what was needed.

(10) I guess going back to the point I made in (5), I just can’t get onboard with this movie. I can’t root for it, because it’s all a sham. It’s a one and done. Wouldn’t you rather have a story and characters you can constantly invest in for years to come?

(9) …Because then you’re all acknowledging that there’s no explanation for this happening anywhere else in the Mcu, which begs the question- where’s the buildup?

(8) If I had just seen the Doomsday trailer for the X-men, and asked: “What movies do I need to watch to explain why the X-men are in this movie and what they’re doing?” What would you answer with? And you can’t just say “The movie will answer it.”…

(7) So here is the lesson: We need to stop investing in projects that happened before, or outside the Mcu, to call the Mcu “successful” or “back.” It just makes no sense. When we start venturing outside the Mcu to look for success, that’s how you know we’re in a bad spot.

(6) This movie is heavily carried by a cast of characters who audiences can’t invest in for years to come. Characters, who we have seen nothing central with, prior through phases 4 and 5. None of these characters have been leading the Mcu since Endgame.

(5) Look at it like this- what would this movie look like if we removed everyone who WASN’T a main focus in phase 4 or 5 of the Mcu? That means no Rdj doom. No fox X-men. No Chris Evans. Basically every fan cast and nostalgia cast. You see where I’m going with this?

(4) Most of Doomsday’s creative decisions are last minute. There is absolutely no denying it. Coincidentally, all these last minute decisions are also the easiest way to get audience’s attention. Rdj doom. The fox X-men. Chris Evans’ Steve Rogers. Tobey Maguire. Hugh Jackman.

(3) This goes for plot points and terms as well- when was the last time we heard some of these multiverse related terms? Here’s a few: Nexus Being. Nexus Point. Incursions. Anchor Beings. Have any of these terms appeared anywhere outside their respective projects?

(2) Multiple movies to develop and take characters in new directions- when was the last time a character was taken on a new adventure since their premiere in the Mcu?

(1) The thing I don’t like about Doomsday is this- its success means it flies in the face of an extended universe. Long form storytelling. Investment. The beauty of the Mcu was we got to grow up with these characters, over multiple appearances.
