Researchers have managed to make an efficient material for #broadband frequency doubling of light using microspheres made of disordered #nanocrystals. In the future, the new approach could be used in lasers and other #light technologies. @rachel_grange

Just published in @NaturePhotonics. New work by the @ETH_physics group of @rachel_grange introducing a multifunctional platform based on the bottom-up assembly of nanocrystals to study second-order nonlinear effects in disordered photonic materials.
