➡️ The unemployment rate for Black women has fluctuated from 5.4 percent in January to 6.1 percent in June. As #BlackWomensEqualPayDay approaches, it is critical to advocate for stable labor market outcomes, equitable wages, and economic justice. #JobsDay.

➡️ In June, the labor force participation rate for Black women was 58.6 percent. #JobsDay.

➡️ From May to June, the unemployment rate for young Black workers increased from 11.6 percent to 17.9 percent, and the overall unemployment rate for all young workers increased from 9.7 percent to 11.4 percent. #JobsDay

➡️ From May to June, the number of Black workers employed decreased by 193,000. ➡️ In June, the unemployment rate for Black women decreased to 6.1 percent, and for Black men, it increased to 7.5 percent, the highest since January 2022. #JobsDay

➡️ From May to June, the unemployment rate for Black workers increased from six percent to 6.8 percent. #JobsDay

The AI moratorium provision in the #OneBigBeautifulBill ties broadband funding to whether a state chooses to regulate AI or not. If passed, it could create legal uncertainty and could pressure states to choose between protecting residents from AI harms or expanding internet
