Isaac Holdsworth was absolutely outstanding once again for @WarringtonRLFC academy; two wins from two to start the season.

I know you can only beat what’s in front of you but that was a ruthless performance from @WarringtonRLFC. Great to see Matty Ashton back, the whole left edge were excellent. Ewan Irwin has got to keep his place in this side, we’re so much more fluent in attack with him.

Goole Vikings away, this had the potential to be a good trip.

Good start to the season for the academy side too; three impressive young forwards on show in Isaac Holdsworth, Ellis Livesey and Zak Brand.

The less said about that the better. LNER Community Stadium in York. ✅

Cai Taylor-Wray is box office, he’s a proper excitement machine! He was much better under the high ball tonight and that try saving tackle was just sublime. ⭐

Big fan of Albert Hopoate and Toafofoa Sipley; Liam Byrne, Josh Smith and Kelepi Tanginoa have all added some real value too. Finally some decent recruitment, we deserve this.

The reserves won comfortably once again, Max Wood laid an excellent platform up front. He’s very unlucky not to be playing in the first team.

The reserves are off to a flying start, there’s some serious strength in depth at this club nowadays. Ewan Irwin and Ewan Smith were probably the standouts.

I thought Super League was a lot more watchable this weekend overall, the referees probably deserve some credit for that in terms of the quicker rucks. Hopefully they remain consistent in their application of the new rules and don’t just forget about them after round four.

Superb start to the new season @WarringtonRLFC. Well done to the club, the players and the fans; that was much needed after last year.

Sheffield Eagles away, buzzing to tick a new ground off the list.

That was a really good contest, Leigh were physically dominant for the most part. Liam Byrne was probably our best player and the young kids were great towards the end; some individual brilliance from Ewan Irwin to win us the game.

I know the opposition were hopeless but that was pretty impressive; Cai Taylor-Wray was electric. Josh Thewlis and Josh Smith were good too. Crowd trouble at a pre-season friendly as well. 🤣

Good riddance to him but he should have been sacked last year.
We can confirm that Matt Dufty has been released from the remainder of his contract by mutual agreement. We wish to thank Matt for his service to the Club during his three-and-a-half years and wish him well in his future endeavours.

We need to win a Grand Final before Ewan Irwin goes to the @NRL.
We are delighted to announce that highly rated young halfback Ewan Irwin has signed a new five-year contract, committing his future to the club until the end of the 2030 season! 💫 Full story: https://t.co/39bW4BWlj2

The Ashes has been very underwhelming in my opinion, it feels like a missed opportunity for Rugby League in this country. The worst thing is the Aussies have been bang average for most of it and we still couldn’t get anywhere near them.
