The simple fact that is undeniable, is that Russia attacked and invaded Ukraine. Everything else is a byproduct of that. I'm going to stop responding to idiots who keep trying to justify what's happening in Ukraine or inside of the war right now. Idiots are waste of time.

As short term, Trump will look like a hero for pausing the war. No more deaths until 2028 sounds like a great option, maybe even worth of a "Nobel prize" that Trump desperately wants. 1 million people would had died for nothing, 100,000+ homes lost. All to start again in 2028.

Capitulation only works temporarily. If Russia is allowed to keep everything they stole, and isn't punished for those who they killed and the warcrimes they committed, nothing is to stop them from doing it again in a few years, just like with Crimea. But Trump is okay with that

This is really sad. I understand Trump wants an end to the war, but appeasing Dictators and legitimizing them has never worked. The USA needs to show strength. Putin never should had been welcomed with a red carpet like that. He's a war criminal after all.
Trump literally had uniformed active duty soldiers on their hands and knees rolling out the red carpet for a genocidal dictator who has killed millions of people around the world the last 26 years. America has fallen.

This is what we can't allow to happen to Ukraine. Signing a peace agreement with Russia without security guarantees only allows Russia to reinvade again in a few years when the world stops caring. Whatever peace happens, it needs to be long lasting, guaranteed peace.

I sincerely hope we learn from history and stop trying to appease authoritarian dictators who invade their neighbors. They need to be stopped, and punished for trying, not encouraged and rewarded. It's the only way to prevent it from happening again and again, and again.
World War II started because the allies agreed to appease a murderous dictator (Hitler) and give up another nation’s land (Czechoslovakia) for “peace in our time.”. How did that work out for everybody?

Maybe Trump is willing to swap Alaska for a temporary ceasefire in Ukraine?. I mean it was historically Russian land until the "Cession Mistake" gave it to America. Maybe Putin will stop there, that's all he really wanted right? Let's just appease the war criminals to stop.

Whatever "peace" is agreed upon, it needs to guarantee that Russia can't just attack again in a few days, months or years whenever they feel like it. Otherwise, there's no point of pausing the war. It needs to end in peace, forever peace. Guaranteed, long lasting peace.
